| The mission of Salmon High School is to provide a safe, supportive environment for teaching and learning. Our vision is to be an innovative, effective, and respected educational organization. We will be effective and unified in our teaching efforts through implementing Idaho Achievement Standards and measuring each student’s individual progress towards these state-wide goals. We will adapt our teaching methods to use proven and innovative practices, which are data-driven, to individualize the learning experience for each student in order that no student will be left behind. Annual evaluation of the district’s programs will determine how effectively we are achieving what we have set out to do in our belief statements and exit outcomes.
The Salmon High School Belief Statements
Students shall be able to:
- Develop the qualities of honesty, integrity, ethics, and confidence, as well as intellectual and physical preparedness;
- Develop basic skills in reading, writing, mathematics, science, listening, and speaking;
- Consider social and cultural issues;
- Continually examine course offerings to meet their needs;
- Develop effective habits of study and intellectual discipline;
- Emphasize the importance of maintaining habits that are mentally and physically healthy;
- Explore different career opportunities;
- Respect each other and public and private property;
- Treat each other with the same set of standards;
- Prepare academically for his or her specific field of interest.
